We continually develop, monitor and investigate our systems, practices and processes to ensure the environment remains a primary consideration. We recognise that our business activities have an impact on the environment and are committed to improving our environmental performance through caring policies and effective management.
We offer our clients innovative sustainable features such as solar power, rainwater harvesting and water recycling, which harness natural, sustainable resources without negatively impacting the environment.
Re-use and recycle
We proactively seek ways to reduce consumption of materials in our operations. We reuse rather than dispose, and promote recycling, segregation of waste and the use of recycled materials. Wherever possible, we use materials and products from sustainable sources.
We work with our suppliers to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment and continually seek products and services that aid greater sustainability.
We explore ways to ensure the prudent use of fuel (e.g. car sharing), energy, water, raw materials and other resources. We measure energy consumption on each of our sites and even our head office in Plymouth is powered by solar energy!
We include environmental matters in discussion with the Board of Directors, Operations Board and Health & Safety team meetings, and encourage employees to be more environmentally aware, providing relevant training as necessary. We’ve replaced Ford Transit vans with smaller more fuel-efficient vehicles, sponsor the cycle to work scheme and have installed video conferencing to enable team members to work from home.
